Timberwolves at Hornets Recap
The Charlotte Hornet defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves by a score of 113-106 Thursday night.The Hornets won a hard fought battle against the Timberwolves on Thursday night at the Spectrum Center.
“This group has stayed really positive through this stretch – and we know it’s been a difficult stretch – but we’ve stayed together. They’re still pulling for each other. We’re still striving every single night to get wins and I’m happy for our guys tonight to pull this one out.” Coach James Borrego said.
Even though they are currently out of the playoff picture, Coach Borrego still believes that this group can make it and will continue to put the best five out there every night.

Hornets
The Hornets were led last night by guard Kemba Walker who went 10/22 with 31 points and 6 assists. Charlotte got a lot of fuel from their bench when three players hit double digits on the score sheet. Jeremy Lamb shot 6/20 and had 13 points. Malik Monk scored 14 points in 5 attemps, making four three-pointers. The last big bench performance came from Willy Hernangomez. Hernangomez, shot 5/6 with 10 points. The Hornets Bench outshot Minnesota by over 15 points, which helped fuel them to a 7 point victory.
Charlotte was able to end their losing streak at two, but needs to win some big games while Miami loses if they want to be able to make the playoffs as the eight seed.
The Hornets play the Boston Celtics tomorrow at 6 p.m. at the Spectrum Center. They will have to come out strong and dominate the game in order to keep the playoff hopes alive.
Timberwolves
The Timberwolves were lead in scoring by Karl-Anthony Towns and Andrew Wiggins who had 20 and 21 points. With last nights loss, the Timberwolves fall to 32-40. Minesota’s playoff picture looks to be gone, although statistically they have a chance.
