Rookie pass rusher Brian Burns left Wednesday’s practice early with an ankle injury. Although Burns has sat out the last practice due to his ankle, does not mean that he will not play in tonight’s matchup against the Bills.
Early reports state that Burns will be suiting up tonight in which would be his second preseason game.
Burns impressed everyone early on with being responsible for two sacks and playing only ten snaps.
Brian Burns already has two sacks in his rookie debut. This is his second.

He has been impressive thus far into camp and is showing the Panthers why picking him so early on was the right choice. His speed and ability to jump off of the line are only two of the things that make this young player so great.
If Burns gets the green light to play tonight, keep an eye out for him. He will be all over the Bills defensive line and will not cut them any breaks.
An injury like this though is something that the Panthers are really going to have to monitor. Burns is going to be a key part in the Panthers success this year so they need to make sure that he is fully healed in the preseason before they start the regular season in just a couple of weeks.
