Intern’s Corner With Olivia: Learning the Ropes
Welcome back to my corner! My name is Olivia Bucco, I am the Fall 2019 Digital Content Intern for Beasley Media Group. As I reach the end of my seventh week with Beasley Media Group, I am eager to share what I have learned so far.
In just a few short weeks, since my last update, I have accomplished even more. I have gone from strictly writing blog posts and social-ing them, for the sites, to coming up with ideas for my own content. Two weeks ago I had the opportunity to explore South End and capture photographs to create my very own gallery! This was a lot of fun for me, I really enjoy photography and cities. In addition to this, I also put together galleries for each of the 6 stations.
Last week I began to create my own interactive quizzes! On National Dessert Day I made my own personality quiz, which got a lot more hits than I expected. On Tuesday I created a trivia quiz for locals to test their knowledge about Charlotte. In addition, I also created polls for Kiss 95.1, Power 98 and Country 103.7 on some of my favorite artists. I have always enjoyed taking these kinds of quizzes so it was really cool to be able to create my own.
Within the past two days, I have been busy sending out many Newsletters you hopefully received in your email. This has been really enjoyable for me because I was in charge of all the Halloween ones this week, it just so happens to my favorite holiday. I put my own creative spin on it and included what I found to be most engaging to my targeted audiences.
I have already exceeded my expectations of what I thought I would accomplish at Beasley Media Group as a Digital Content Intern and am excited to see where my last few weeks take me! Thankful doesn’t even begin to describe how I feel about this amazing experience. I am eager to dive deeper into my passion for creating content.
