Kobe Bryant dies in helicopter crash at age 41
Kobe Bryant died in a helicopter crash Sunday morning in Calabasas, California around 10a.m. local time. First reported by TMZ, Bryant was among five people who died in the accident.
Bryant occasionally used a helicopter as his mode of transportation to get from his residence to downtown Los Angeles. The crash ignited a brush fire which made it difficult for emergency personnel to get to the crash site. Bryant was 41 years old and leaves behind a wife and four daughters.
I received a text from my boss, Brandon Chase asking if I heard anything about Kobe. I immediately got on Twitter and saw that Kobe wasn’t on the trending page. I refreshed the page and TMZ’s tweet popped up.
