US National Whitewater Center Cancels Green River Revival Due to Coronavirus
Man, that green river looks hella sad now. This coronavirus is legit taking over everything and I am NOT happy about it.
Release today (3/12) the US National Whitewater Center located in Charlotte, NC officially canceled on of their biggest St. Patrick’s Day events.
Their Instagram caption was as follows:
COVID-19 is top-of-mind for many in our community and the Whitewater Center has been carefully monitoring the developing situation. We recognize and share concerns about how COVID-19 impacts our community. We have been actively evaluating whether this Saturday’s Green River Revival should continue as scheduled. Accordingly, based on the current information available, we have decided to cancel this year’s event.
As with all public health matters, the Whitewater Center relies on information and guidance from health and safety professionals and public health officials. The COVID-19 situation is currently evolving in a rapid and unknown manner. In an abundance of caution, we have made the decision to cancel Green River Revival at this time.
We appreciate the community’s patience and we will continue to communicate as best we can, and we encourage anyone with questions or concerns to contact us.
