A Harry Potter Treehouse Exists In NC And You Can Stay There
Forget the fictional Godrics Hollow town, how about visiting Wizards Hollow? Well, you can and it’s closer than you think. If you’re anything like me you grew up imagining the Wizarding World that Harry Potter lived in. I was lucky enough to finally get to step foot in that imaginary land at Univeral Studios. But there is still so much that hasn’t been explored. One Air B&B property, a Harry Potter Treehouse, brings even more of the magic to life in the NC Mountains.
The treehouse known as Wizards Hollow is part of the Treehouses of Serenity fairytale resort located just north of Asheville. It’s decorated with the colors and flags of all four Hogwarts houses- Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Slytherin, and Ravenclaw. A spiral staircase gives me Gryffindor dormitory tower vibes, owls are perched and available for all your post needs, and spellbooks double as reading material and decor. One of the best details is an entrance to the Ministry of Magic and as a hint, it’s not the visitors’ entrance.
According to the Airbnb listing, the treehouse is around 600 sq. ft. In addition to your wizarding world needs it also has amenities for Muggles such as access to Netflix, YouTube, and board games to enjoy. Perhaps even more magical than the treehouse is the gorgeous mountain views. A wrap-around deck offers panoramic views of the Asheville area and the surrounding mountains. I can only imagine how incredible it would be to sit on that porch with a glass of wine and a good book (one of the Harry Potter series perhaps?) and watch the world go on around you.
