Plastic Bags Will No Longer Be Given Away by Goodwill
Purchasing clothes from a thrift store gives them a second life. It’s one of my favorite things to do actually, I love what I like to call “wardrobe treasure hunting.” Starting November 1st, Goodwill Industries of Southern Piedmont is going bagless. They will be eliminating plastic shopping bags in our 26 area stores.
We’re doing good with every purchase you make at Goodwill – for your budget, our planet, and the community! By reducing waste and funding job training and career services in our area, new-to-you products benefit everyone in the community. Our efforts will even help reduce waste in the future.
Goodwill is asking customers to help the environment by bringing their own bags or purchasing a reusable Goodwill bag for 99¢. You can see more about thrift store dos and dont’s here.
