Chris Rock kicks of his Ego Death World Tour in Boston tonight (3/30). Gee, I wonder what he’ll talk about.

Will Smith has reportedly apologized to Chris Rock for hitting him at the Oscars. What I want to know is if Chris will be sending Will a thank you note for “the slap heard around the world.” While the comedian has yet to comment publicly on the incident, ticket sales for his tour have skyrocketed since it happened.

According to a tweet from ticket resale site TickPick, “We sold more tickets to see Chris Rock overnight than we did in the past month combined.” Meanwhile, the site’s public relations rep, Kyle Zorn, said that the cheapest tickets for Rock’s Ego Death World Tour kickoff went from $46 to $411 by Monday. Some seats are going for more than $1,200.

CBS News reports that 88% of the ticket sales on TickPick came through after the Oscars. Chris Rock’s tour also brings him to North Carolina. He has two shows scheduled at the Durham Performing Arts Center on April 16th and 17th. You can find tickets here but I wouldn’t wait long to get them.
