BeachFest 2022 Brings Vacation Vibes To Matthews, North Carolina This Weekend
Want to go to the beach but don’t have time to leave town? No need to make the long drive. You can get those beach-y vibes a lot closer to home this weekend at BeachFest Matthews 2022.
According to the Charlotte Observer, the annual BeachFest transforms downtown Matthews into a seaside getaway with live music, shag dancing, arts and crafts, carnival rides, axe throwing, food vendors, and more. Admission is free but you do have to pay for food, beverages, and rides. On Friday, you can get a All-You-Can-Ride Night wristband for $20.
The festival will feature plenty of beach music bands, including headliners Chairmen of the Board. Here’s the schedule:
Friday, May 13
- 6:30-8:00 PM — The Tonez
- 8:30-10:00 PM — Blackwater
Saturday, May 14
- 10:30 AM-2:30 PM — Summer Tunes!
- 2:30 PM-4:00 PM — Party Parrot Band
- 4:30 PM-6:00 PM — Rick Strickland Band
- 6:30 PM-8:00 PM — Carolina Soul Band
- 8:30 PM-10:00 PM — Chairmen of the Board
BeachFest Matthews 2022 runs Friday, May 13 from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM and Saturday, May 14 from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM at Stumptown Park, 120 S. Trade Street in Matthews. You can find more details HERE.
