A Musical Christmas Movie With Dolly Parton Is Coming

Is it too early to chat Christmas? Yep! But not for some folks. I know some people are ready for the Christmas season 24/7 so I think it’s ok to go ahead and chat about this! Dolly Parton is teaming up with NBC for another holiday special.

The network announced today that the country music legend will star in Dolly Parton’s Mountain Magic Christmas, described as a “modern-day movie musical about the making of a network TV special.” According to Southern Living, the description reads, “Dolly Parton’s Mountain Magic Christmas” is the frenetic backstage story and delightful on-camera results of Dolly’s desire to uplift an exhausted world’s spirits by sharing the unique ‘mountain magic’ she has always found in and around Dollywood at Christmas.”

I have been to Pigeon Forge at Christmas and I have to say it really is gorgeous. You get a quaint feeling when you’re there. I haven’t been to Dollywood, but I imagine it’s gorgeous during the holidays.

The movie will be Parton’s third with NBC. The release date for Dolly Parton’s Mountain Magic Christmas has not been announced but stay tuned!
