Cirque Du Soleil Returns To North Carolina With Their Big Top
The bendiest show on Earth returns to North Carolina this winter. Cirque du Soleil is bringing its big top tent production, BAZZAR, to Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord from December 16, 2023, through January 14, 2024.
According to Cirque du Soleil’s website, BAZZAR is an “awe-inspiring spectacle” featuring a cast of 35 highly creative and energetic acrobats, contortionists, trapeze artists, dancers, and musicians. This vibrant and imaginative show was created in 2018 and has toured in India, the Middle East, and South America before coming to the U.S.
BAZZAR “pays homage to the shows of Cirque du Soleil’s roots,” but with something never seen before in one of their productions. For the first time in Cirque du Soleil history, guests will see a display of mallakhamb, which is a traditional Indian sport in which participants perform yoga poses and wrestling grips on a large wooden pole. You can catch a glimpse of it in the video below.
Cirque du Soleil’s BAZZAR might not be the kind of show you typically see during the holiday season, but it’s good to shake things up every now and then. Tickets are on sale now and you can get a 25% discount for groups of 10 or more. Find details here.
