Carolina Bike Tour Named The Best In The Country
For some people, a vacation does not mean lounging on a chair with a drink all day (although that does sound great). Many travelers are also seeking a thrill or outdoor adventure tours to navigate and take in their destination in a way that is both unique and provides some exercise.
USA Today’s 10BEST recently analyzed this subject, highlighting the best adventure excursions throughout the country. In the category of bike tours, an organization based out of North Carolina was recognized as the best.
Regardless of the type of adventure tour one decides to pursue, each of them has a few characteristics in common. The most obvious is that it allows the guest to see the outdoor environment of this area or region from a different perspective. That means literally being in the middle of the given environment or sometimes soaring above it and taking it in from a bird’s eye view.
A tour guide generally has a deep knowledge of the local area and its history. He or she may point out a simple tree, for example, that you may not have noticed. Perhaps the tree represents that native land or was planted 500 years ago. Tour guides are also great resources for learning about additional area highlights like restaurants.
I can’t recommend a tour that takes you along a coastline enough. In addition, an excursion that is through or above the mountainside always provides views that will ultimately result in fantastic photos to keep the memory alive forever upon your return.
Lastly, participating in an adventure tour does not mean giving up time to rest and relax. Many of these take up the bulk of a day, but you can certainly build around it to make sure you get the full vacation experience.
However, that may not be entirely true for this Carolina excursion. While you certainly have rest time at night (to sleep), this adventure requires you to be on two wheels for the majority of a few days.
Carolina Tailwinds Is Again Among The Best Outdoor Adventure Tours In The Country
In an upcoming trip Carolina Tailwinds has laid out, guests will start in Beaufort, and then bike for approximately 200 miles over the next five days.
This organization has it all planned out for you. They guide you to the hotels or inns that you will stay at each night, in addition to all the great local food you will eat along the way. You don’t even have to worry about having the right bicycle. Their large fleet of options provides that to you, too.
