Projections Show North Carolina Coronavirus Peak Is A Few Weeks away; 2,500+ Deaths Possible
If you already have anxiety or depression over everything going on with the current pandemic, this is not the article for you. I am fully aware of how morbid and disheartening this is…but unfortunately, I think it describes the current state we are in and hopefully it will urge you to stay home and follow the orders and guidelines in place.
President Trump commented on the predictions for the country for the next two weeks, and now North Carolina has some predictions for our state. North Carolina is expected to see more than 2,500 deaths from COVID-19, according to a new forecast from the University of Washington.
The model that they are using matches the internal models pretty well according to White House Coronavirus Task Force lead Dr. Deborah Birx. The model shows the peak use of hospital resources in our state on April 23 which the peak deaths beginning on April 23rd and lasting until about April 26th.
North Carolina’s statewide ‘Stay-at-Home’ order and the closure of non-essential services are currently under effect and will last 30 days, until April 30th.
