Troy Aikman Walks Back Military Flyover Criticism
It is a broadcaster’s worst nightmare: while being unaware that you are on an open or “hot” mic, you say something that was never intended to be heard by the public.
Most of the time, it’s a word or phrase that your mother would wash your mouth out in soap over, but in the case of Fox Sports’ Troy Aikman and Joe Buck, it was criticism of a military flyover in Tampa. To say it was not positively received is an understatement.

Well, following a deluge of backlash over this, Aikman has finally responded on Twitter:
I love a flyover but It was odd to see one over a mostly empty stadium but I am an unwavering patriot that loves this country, has always respected our flag, supported the men and women in the armed forces as well as those in uniform who serve & protect and for anyone to suggest
