Bruins Couldn’t Take Notes
The St. Louis Blues have won the Stanley Cup for the first time in Franchise history. After defeating the Bruins by a score of 4-1, The St. Louis Blues will hoist the Stanley Cup.

The beginning of this eventful game 7, Jordan Binnington was able to stop a numerous amount of pucks to keep the score 0-0. Binnington stopped 12 shots in the first, including a powerplay opportunity that held several scoring chances.
Binnington now holds the rookie record for goalie wins in the playoffs with 16. He has surpassed goalies like Patrick Roy and most recently Matt Murray (15).
With only 4 shots in the first, the Blues scored on 2 of them. At 16:47 in the first, Ryan O’Reilly scored off a deflection to put the Blues ahead. The deflection came off a slap shot from defenseman Jay Bouwmeester off a feed from Alex Pietrangelo.
With 8 seconds left in the first, St. Louis struck again off a backhand from Alex Pietrangelo. Pietrangelo found himself right in front of the net and was able to sneak one under the pad of Tuukka Rask.

No goals were scored in the second period but the Blues were able to tally another 2 in the third. About halfway through the third at 11:25 Brayden Schenn scored a goal with assists to Tarasenko and Schwartz. Right before Matt Grezelcyk scored the Bruins only goal, Zach Stanford ruined the hopes of the Eastern Conference Champions.
