LIST: Charlotte Resturants and Stores Open On Labor Day
Need a list of stores open on Labor Day. We feel you. With Labor Day vastly approaching, RetailMeNot has gathered information about which retailers are planning to be open, as well as which have announced they will be closed on September 6. Because knowing before you get going is always important.
Most restaurants and stores are open on Labor Day, but be sure to double-check by calling the business just in case. Below are hours for popular stores and restaurants. Have a safe and happy Labor Day!
Best Buy: Open from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Barnes & Noble: Open with regular hours.
Costco: No Costco for you, it will be closed.
Chick-fil-a: Open with reduced hours (10:30 a.m. – 6 p.m.)
CVS: Open with regular hours, though pharmacy hours are reduced.
Dollar Tree: Open with regular hours.
GAP: Open with regular hours–vary by store.
The Home Depot: Open with normal hours (6 a.m. – 9 p.m.)
H-E-B Grocery: Regular hours. (Pharmacy open 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.)
Kohl’s: Open 10 a.m. – 8 p.m.! (Curbside pickup is also available)
Kroger: Most will be open with regular hours.
Lowe’s: Open with normal hours (6 a.m. – 9 p.m.)
Macy’s: Open with normal hours (11 a.m. – 7 p.m.)
Marshalls: Open from 9:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.
Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack: Open with normal hours by location
Publix: Open with regular hours.
Staples: Open with normal hours (8 a.m. – 9 p.m.)
Stop & Shop: Open with regular hours.
Target: Open with normal hours (8 a.m. – 10 p.m.)
Trader Joe’s: Open with regular hours.
Walmart: Open with normal hours (6 a.m. – 11 p.m. depending on location)
Wayfair: Always open! This online retailer is offering up to 70% off during their Labor Day Clearance Sale.
Whole Foods: Open with regular hours–8 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Liquor Stores: Because many states’ liquor sales and distribution are controlled by the state, most liquor stores have to be closed on Labor Day by law. But not all! These states do not have state-controlled liquor sales and distribution: Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Washington D.C., and Wisconsin. If you live in any of these states, your local liquor store will individually determine if they will remain open on September 6. Check with them to make sure you’re in the loop!
Banks: These will be closed on September 6. Because Labor Day is technically a bank holiday, all physical bank locations have to be closed. But, to help you out, all ATMs and online banking services will still be available for you to use.
Post offices: You are probably aware but post offices are closed on September 6, so you will not get any mail delivered. Going even further, because Labor Day is an official federal holiday, all state and federal government offices will also be closed. This includes UPS and FedEx.
