Let’s listen to the experts, they know what to buy! Even though spring made its official entrance on March 20, the month of April is the first month we get to enjoy spring-like temperatures for an entire month. North Carolina shoppers need to keep their eye out for certain deals.

  • 1. Beauty and Skincare

    Since new fragrances are released for the spring and summer, and many people change up their skincare routine to suit the season, spring is a common time for beauty retailers to host sales. Ulta’s 21 Days of Beauty sale, which includes a new selection of the retailer’s top products on sale for 50% off each day runs up until April 2. However, that’s not the only sale taking place on beauty and skincare essentials. Sephora will be kicking off its Spring Beauty Sale at the start of April.

  • 6. Easter Clothing and Decor

    Easter Sunday falls on April 17 this year, however, we’re already starting to see Easter sales kick-off. In the first half of the month, we expect these sales to grow, with more children’s on-theme apparel and pajamas marked down and gifts that tie into the Easter holiday. A few standout shopping destinations include Amazon, Hanna Andersson, Macy’s, Michaels, Target, and Walmart. In the second half of the month, after Easter, we will see prices plummet up to 80% on Easter chocolates and candies, but also Easter home decor.   • 7. Energy-Efficient Appliance

    Normally, we’d suggest waiting until Memorial Day weekend to shop for home appliances. But with Earth Day on April 22, be on the lookout for retailers lowering prices on energy-efficient models. Best Buy has held Earth Day sales in the past. Amazon is also known to discount items in its Warehouse Deals section (which sells used and refurbished products) in honor of Earth Day. Earth Day sales are typically announced a week before the holiday, so stay tuned.

  • 8. Home Improvement Sales

    Whether it’s blooming botanicals or hatching birds, spring is universal for rebirth and new beginnings. And nothing says “new beginnings” like refreshing your home with a fresh coat of paint or new furniture and decor. Retailers like Home Depot and Lowe’s are often your best destination for home renovation and revamp essentials. Lowe’s will be kicking off its Spring Fest sale on April 7, which runs through the entire month. Overstock is also known for running sales around this time period, as is Wayfair with its Way Day sale.
