Place your bets. The Kentucky Derby is happening this weekend and OLBG has the results of each of the past 10 winners.

This weekend is the 148th Kentucky Derby gets underway this weekend and it sees the return of the greatest two minutes in sport. 20 thoroughbreds will battle it out at Churchill Downs with a whopping $3 million up for grabs once again.

It takes a lot of work to breed a winning thoroughbred at one of the biggest events in horse racing. The past 10 winners have all earned their owners a substantial amount of prize money. The results of the research show which horses have earned the most per race, their prize money overall, and the profit they’ve made for their owners.

Justify comes in third despite having low career earnings compared to the others in the top five, however, he did retire unbeaten, winning six out of six for trainer Bob Baffert with an average earning per race of $633,000.

    Authentic tops the charts in terms of earnings per race with $900,150 from his 10 races, despite his total career earnings being the third highest on the list. He won the Kentucky Derby in 2020 and had a total of six wins from his eight races, finding just one too good on his other two outings.
