It’s National Beer Day on April 7th! While beer is not my go-to drink I enjoy a cold one at a football game or outdoor summer concert. It helps sets the mood for sure. But for many many people beer is far and away their favorite adult beverage. Craft beer is taking up a larger and larger slice of the market each year. Just look at the sheer number of breweries in Charlotte. And it’s more and more common for bars and restaurants to have more craft beer than domestic options. But it’s still the heavy hitters that have the largest market share. With seemingly unlimited options for beer lovers, what are the most popular? And what are the most popular beers in North Carolina specifically?
Well, our friends at BetCarolina analyzed Google searches for the top 50-selling beers in the United States for the last month. They also pulled results for North Carolina. And I would have guessed Bud Light would have come in at number one. But it didn’t quite make it. Also noticeable absent was my favorite beer Corona. Though it’s a different import that tops the list. That’s right, it’s not even a domestic beer that is the most in-demand in NC.
So grab a cold one, kick back and relax, and scroll through this list of the 10 most popular beers in North Carolina. Cheers!
