I’ll be honest with you I expected it to be a different place. Now one important distinction is that these are beach towns. So while Charleston often ranks high on these lists, it did not qualify for this one. Though the food there is nothing short of spectacular. Think more of small beach communities. As someone who grew up going to the beach in the vicinity of Myrtle Beach, I was a little surprised Calabash, NC was not included on this list. Calabash seafood is famous, and there is no shortage of restaurants in the tiny town. But the South Carolina destination that The Kitchn named the best beach town for food lovers?
