SUNRISE, FLORIDA - OCTOBER 08: Dougie Hamilton #19 of the Carolina Hurricanes celebrates with teammates after scoring a goal against the Florida Panthers during the first period at BB&T Center on October 08, 2019 in Sunrise, Florida.)

Despite losing four games in a row last week. the Carolina Hurricanes have won their last two and are looking to call it a streak.

The Hurricanes defeated the Buffal0 Sabres last night in overtime thanks to a slapshot from defenseman Dougie Hamilton.

Today they will travel to Minnesota and prepare for tomorrow’s afternoon game against the Wild.

The Hurricanes currently hold the first Wild Card spot in the east with 23 points.

Where the Hurricanes struggles during their losing streak was in their special teams units. Especially during their losses as of late, they have not been able to kill penalties and score while they are a man up.

Carolina was able to patch that up against the Buffalo last night and look to carry that forward tomorrow, and the rest of the season.

How would you rate the Hurricanes’ performance so far?

What are your expectations for Carolina?
