If You Loved ‘Desperate Housewives’ You Must Watch ‘Why Women Kill’
I’ve probably watched the series Desperate House Wives from start to finish a good four times since it ended in 2012. I loved the characters, the mystery, the desperation, and of course, the murder.
Why Women Kill originates from the mind of Marc Cherry, who created and executive-produced Desperate Housewives. This new dark comedy show follows the lives of three different women and their less-than-perfect husbands. All three women are featured in three separate decades: a housewife in the 60s, a socialite in the 80s, and a lawyer in 2019.
I won’t give away any spoilers, but the three women have one thing in common. What is it? Of course, it is infidelity. Basically, all those absurd stories you hear about women killing on the ID channel or Snapped are what you will find in this show. So if you love scripted drama full of affairs and true crime, I recommend giving it a watch.
I was super excited to watch this series, not only because of the overall plot but one of my favorite actresses Alexandra Daddario plays a character named Jade who is a neat freak and a little crazy. She is amazing to watch on the screen. Overall, the show hits the nail on the head with betrayal, revenge, and female empowerment. Why Women Kill is on Paramont+ and filled with feisty, smart, and deadly women that will have you cringing and laughing until the end.
