Unruly Passenger On CLT Flight Faces One Of The Largest FAA Fines Ever
On a July 2021 flight from Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas to Charlotte, an unruly passenger’s violent behavior has cost her a heavy fine from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
According to Fox 46, it started when a female passenger fell while she was out of her seat. When flight attendants came to help, she allegedly threatened to hurt them. Then, Fox46 says she shoved the flight attendant and then tried to open the cabin door mid-flight.
This led the other flight attendants to try to restrain her, but during this time the passenger allegedly hit one of the flight attendants repeatedly on the head. She then “spit at, headbutted, bit and tried to kick the crew and other passengers,” according to the FAA as reported by Fox46.
Once the plane landed at Charlotte Douglas, officers arrested this passenger. Now, she has been fined $81,950 by the FAA. Another recent Delta passenger was fined $77,272 for several offenses including trying to open the doors mid-flight. This passenger also allegedly tried to inappropriately hug and kiss another passenger. She also attempted to walk to the very front of the plane.
The crew finally restrained her after she allegedly bit another passenger several times. Ever had an unruly passenger on your flight?
