There are plenty of romantic comedy choices on the streaming service to choose from. The problem is, can you and your partner agree on which one you’ll watch? Well, if you live in North Carolina, just know that “#realityhigh” is the most downloaded rom-com on Netflix! What? Who? What?
The website All About Cookies wanted to find out what states are downloading certain rom-coms. With the month of love behind us, they took a look at Netflix’s library of romantic comedy films. “The Cookies” also used Google Trends and were able to collect data on more than 90 romantic comedies available to watch on Netflix. The site also reached out to 1,500 people to find out America’s most popular rom-com actors and actresses in cinema.
So how do other states break down? South Carolina’s most downloaded Netflix rom-com is “Forrest Gump.” What?? How does “Forrest Gump” land in this category? I mean it’s a cute movie with some funny moments but let’s not get nuts haha!
Alabama, Georgia, and Tennessee also have “Forrest Gump” as the most downloaded Netflix rom-com. What other states share NC’s love for #realityhigh? Uh, just one. Indiana haha!
Grease was the most popular rom-com downloaded. It’s top in six states.
