Prosecutor From Murdaugh Trial Is In A Band And You Can See For Free In South Carolina This Weekend
Sure you can go see your favorite true crime podcasts sometimes film live. Or as an American, you have the right to attend a trial if you so desire. But this is a different experience for True Crime fans, how about seeing the prosecutor from the Alex Murdaugh trial in person- in a band? Yes, Creighton Waters, the prosecuter who rose to fame for his involvement of the Alex Murdaugh trial earlier this year is in a band. It’s called Sole Purpose and they play an eclectic blend of acoustic, electric, country, rock, and pop music. That’s certainly a variety! You can see Sole Purpose including Creighton Waters for free this weekend in Gaffney South Carolina.
The band will be playing at Henry L. Jolly Park located in downtown Gaffney. The show is part of the City of Gaffney’s Concert in the Park series, which kicks off Saturday with Sole Purpose. The concert is free to attend and is scheduled to begin at 7 pm. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs or blankets for seating. So if you still need plans Saturday night, perhaps make the short drive to Gaffney to see Creighton Waters, the prosecutor who got a conviction for Alex Murdaugh, and his band in concert this weekend.
True Crime Stories Out Of North & South Carolina
People are fascinated by true crime. There are countless podcasts, articles, documentaries, and even TikTok videos on the subject. Perhaps it’s the mystery or the relatability to the victims. But whatever it is it is undeniable the prevalence it has in today’s society. And while we (at least I), would like to think these things only happen far away, that’s just not true. In fact, there are multiple instances of true crime stories from North and South Carolina.
Below you will find just a small subset of some of the most famous cases in the Carolinas. Some are extremely recent, others from years ago. Some have been resolved others still have us asking questions. You can find a wealth of information involving these cases online and I’ve referenced documentaries you can watch to learn more as well. As someone who isn’t close to obsessed with the genre, I still went deep down the rabbit hole with some of these cases.
Know of some we missed? Let us know on social media and maybe we will do part two of true crime cases from North and South Carolina.
