Two North Carolina Metro Areas Among The Top Cities For Young Professionals

With a recent college graduating class hitting the job market and venturing out into the real world, the question they may be asking is "Where should I live?" Perhaps they want to stay around their college town, return to their hometown, or start-up life in a new and vibrant city. We have numerous major universities producing graduates in North Carolina, many of whom want to stay in the state after graduation. So where are the best North Carolina cities for young professionals? Both of the two largest metro areas. This is according to new rankings by US News and World Report. The publication ranked the largest 150 cities in the country on their desirability for young professionals.

It's pretty impressive that out of 150 cities, both major NC metros Charlotte and Raleigh-Durham would be in the top 15. To create these rankings US News considered the job market, desirability, as well as affordability. With that last one in mind I personally find it laughable that Charlotte is included. Though I do realize we have it better than other areas.
