Well, looks like Brandon Miller did not just earn an NBA contract Thursday night at the 2023 NBA Draft. Thursday night, Brandon Miller was selected by the Charlotte Hornets as the No. 2 draft pick in this year’s draft. Fanbases across the nation go crazy when it comes to draft night. Everyone wants to see who their team selects whether it is someone they know and love or someone they did not expect.
Bet Carolina thought about the social media growth of the draft prospects on draft night. Everyone knows these men get their names blasted on millions of tv screens draft night. In today’s world, what is the first thing you do when you want to learn more about someone? Look them up on social media. So, how many followers did Miller gain overnight after being the No. 2 overall draft pick? Brandon Miller came in tied at No. 8 for players that gained the most followers overnight following the draft. Miller went from 93,000 followers to 111,000 followers following the draft. That is an increase of 18,000 followers in less than 24 hours. How insane is that? Miller did not come in at #1 though, of course, the No. 1 draft pick is who gained the most followers overnight. Can you guess how many followers Victor Wembanyama gained overnight? Probably not. Wembanyama went from 1.7 million followers to 1.9 million followers in less than 24 hours. That is a gain of 200,000 followers in less than 24 hours!
The draft may be over, but their lives are just now getting started. Miller is coming to Charlotte and we cannot wait to see what he does here. I am sure his follower count will grow some more once he is here and making moves.
