Baseball season is upon us! Opening Day is this Thursday, March 28th. And while we don’t have a local Major League Team in North Carolina (both Charlotte and Raleigh are vying to change that that) most people consider North Carolina “Braves Country”. This is a part of the Braves’ contest to find “The Best Bar In Braves Country”. They accepted fan submissions and then selected a finalist for each state in “Braves Country”. This includes a bar in Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Mississippi, and Tennessee.
The finalists were announced on social media with a call to action for fans to vote to determine the bar that is the overall best in Braves Country. According to the voting page, “the winning bar/restaurant will receive a neon “Best Bar in Braves Country” sign to proudly display, a ton of swag, and the opportunity to host a Braves watch party on-site this season!” Not a bad prize or title to win.
