South Carolina Made the Most Unhappy States List
Welp if you live in South Carolina you may not be very happy! South Carolina made the “most unhappy states list.” North Carolina did a little better sitting outside the top 15. Check out the full list here.
When you think about the state you live in, do you consider it happy? What makes a state happy may mean different things to different people. A new report has ranked the states to come up with the Happiest and Unhappiest states in America. 24/7 Wall Street reported on those states.
NiceRX came up with their list based on metrics including poverty, mental illness, life expectancy, median household income, a safety score and homicide levels. Based on all of these factors, each state was given a happiness score, ranging from zero to 10, with 10 being the happiest. Topping the list for the happiest state in the country is Hawaii, which has a score of 9.02, thanks to its low rates of serious mental illness as well as having one of the longest life expectancies at 81 years.
