People Are Demanding Pancakes Amidst Pandemic
If you want breakfast, it’s going to half to be pancakes.
America celebrated National Pancake Day on September 26th. Americans can’t get enough of the fluffy breakfast treat during the pandemic and this report proves it. Top Agency provided a pancake report to determine America’s increased appetite during the pandemic and the most pancake-loving states. Pancake demand shot up by 14% since the start of the pandemic as Americans started cooking more at home.
So what did the study find? Only 2 percent of Americans hate pancakes. The total stats, 59% love pancakes, while 34% like them, 5% dislike them, and 2% hate them. In America, 29% of people eat them once every couple of weeks, while 12% eat them more than twice a week. Only 34% of Americans eat pancakes less than once a month.
But which state loves pancakes the most? I could have guessed this. It is the maple syrup capital of the U.S.A., the one and only Vermont. Hawaii ranks at #2 followed by Oregon and Illinois at #3 and #4. New Jersey takes away the #5 spot for the most pancake-loving state.
Turns out, 1 in 3 Americas prefer buttermilk pancakes. I am not one of those people. I prefer some delicious chocolate chip pancakes with maple syrup. Those are my pancakes of choice.
