For those in need of some facial hair inspiration, LookFantastic has conducted a male grooming report to reveal the most sought-after facial hair so that you can be right on trend this Movember.
From a bit of wild stubble to Robert Downy Jr’s famous anchor beard, there are a lot of styles to choose from when it comes to facial hair. But which is the most popular across the world and is the one to try out this Movember?
According to the data, the style that comes in first is a goatee – donned, at one time, by the likes of The Rock, Brad Pitt, and Ryan Gosling, it’s the favorite in 76 countries including the UK and the US. Coming in second is a surprising one, the soul patch, which came into prominence in the 1950s and 1960s, and is still one of the most popular styles in 26 different countries.
LookFantastic analyzed google search volumes to reveal which male celebrities have the most searched for and sought after facial hair. Zac Efron reigns supreme at the top of the list with 172,400 searches per year for his facial hair, which is unsurprising after the internet went wild for his beard in his Netflix documentary Down To Earth released earlier this year. Coming in second and third are the more mature heartthrobs – Brad Pitt with 114,200 searches and David Beckham with 88,600 searches.
