After Six Year Hiatus Chick-fil-A Bringing Back A Fan Favorite
I won’t lie when I saw that Chick-fil-A was bringing back a “fan favorite” I got excited! However, it’s not what I was hoping for. The popular restaurant chain is bringing back a biscuit.
The Spicy Chicken Biscuit, which was discontinued in 2016, is coming back to the menu. Starting today, April 25, the spicy biscuit will be back on the breakfast menu at all 1,304 restaurants across the country. The fan-favorite breakfast sandwich features Chick-fil-A’s boneless chicken breast, seasoned with a spicy blend of peppers, freshly breaded, and served on a fresh-baked buttermilk biscuit.
It’s not that I don’t like the spicy chicken biscuit, I do. I like almost everything at Chick-fil-A. But I was REALLY hoping that they’d bring their slaw back. It’s also been off the menu since 2016 and I have no clue why they discontinued it. Yes, I know the company released the recipe but it’s not the same! Some things just taste better when someone else makes it.
I can’t be the only one that loved their slaw! I’d get it on the side and put some on my sandwich. I loved it! Truth told, I don’t go to Chick-fil-A as much since they got rid of the slaw. Am I alone here?
According to Yahoo, Chick-fil-A is also releasing a new drink today. The Cloudberry Sunjoy is a blend of the restaurant’s classic lemonade and freshly brewed sweetened iced tea with the flavors of cloudberry and cherry blossom. If you’re unfamiliar with cloudberries, you aren’t alone! They’re native to the Arctic and are described as a cross between a raspberry and a red currant. Sounds interesting. The new drink and the Spicy Chicken Biscuit are only available for a limited time, so grab it quick! I’ll be over here wishing for the slaw to come back!
