Hilary Duff Reveals Her Main Concern Over Nude Photoshoot
Hilary Duff bared it all on the cover of Women’s Health for the magazine’s May/June issue and in a new interview, the How I Met Your Father actress shared certain concerns while being in the buff.
“It was pretty scary, I have to admit. I just am not the person that cruises around my house naked,” she told E! News. “So I was like, ‘I take everything off?'”
Hilary, 34, revealed she was able to strip down in “parts,” starting off in underwear, then pasties and finally baring it all, adding that the photographer was amazing. “By the end of the day, once you’ve been naked in front of everyone, you’re kind of just like, ‘Okay,’ it was a very strange, very quick way to get comfortable.”
There was just one thing she couldn’t stop thinking about. “We were in a house in Laurel Canyon that was just exposed to a bunch of other houses,” Hilary recalled. “So I was like, ‘I hope there’s not kids looking out the window right now, and they’re like, ‘Naked lady!'”
“She’s like, ‘I’ll grab you a copy!'” Hilary laughed, adding that her husband, Matthew Koma, was equally thrilled with the shoot, making one of his wife’s nude photos his profile picture on Instagram for a few days. Hilary said, “He was hyping me up for sure.”

As we earlier reported, Duff wrote on Instagram, “Sooooo, this was scary….. I knew doing this would terrify me and I was right! @womenshealthmag had the most lovely all-women shoot and I actually had the best time.”
She added, “I felt strong and beautiful and laughed a lot getting into some of these poses without my high-waisted mom jeans and oversized whatever I normally wear. Thank you to everyone who normalized this day for me and propped me up with compliments and love.”
She told Women’s Health, “I’m proud of my body. I’m proud that it’s produced three children for me. I’ve gotten to a place of being peaceful with the changes my body has gone through. I also want people to know a makeup artist was there putting glow all over my body and someone put me in the most flattering position.”
When asked when it was that she finally got to that calm place with her body, she said, “Perhaps after having Banks (her three-year-old daughter). I didn’t even know if I was going to have the opportunity to have another child [after the divorce from Canadian hockey player Mike Comrie]. So, being a mom again, maybe. It was a whole mix of things—of being settled and realizing that I’m powerful and talented and smart. All mental things.”
