The Most Popular Alcohol Sold At North Carolina Costco
Who doesn’t love Costco or other bulk stores? You can get some fantastic deals. I personally don’t take advantage of these types of places much as it’s just me so I don’t need a lot in bulk. But my parents frequent Costco and the deals can be incredible.
One place, this really can shine is in alcohol. In North Carolina, we are limited on the Costco alcohol offerings. (The difference in liquor laws across the country will never make sense to me. Heck in Maryland you can’t even purchase beer and wine in grocery stores, but in other places like California you can get liquor).
The Costco Kirkland Brand seltzers were a staple for my friends and I’s pool days a few years ago. And you certainly couldn’t beat the price!
Favorite Costco Alcohol
Our friends at TestCasinos.com recently published a report on the most popular Costco alcohol in every U.S. state. And when it comes to Costco alcohol in North Carolina? The most popular purchase may not be the one you’d think. It’s Chateau Ste. Michelle Riesling.
On one hand, as a wine enthusiast, I support wine being the most popular purchase. If you’re looking for a Riseling this is a good, solid option. It’s a little too sweet for me to drink on a regular basis, but does make a good dessert wine. And I know many many people opt for the sweet options. They just aren’t my favorite.
This does make me think perhaps I need to go price-check some of my favorite wines at Costco however! Clearly they offer a good deal if it’s a brand-name alcohol that is the most popular Costco alcohol sold in the state.
While North Carolina didn’t, 20 states chose a Kirkland Signature branded wine or spirit as their favorite Costco alcohol. Two popular varieties included Kirkland Signature French Vodka and Kirkland Signature London Dry Gin. Who knew?
