The Carolina Panthers took edge rusher Brian Burns in the first round. Burns stands in at 6’5″ and weighs 249 pounds.

The 21-years-old Fort Lauderdale native spent his college career at Florida State as a Seminole.

In 2018, Burns played 12 games for Florida State and had a career-high in sacks, tackles for loss, solo, and total tackles.

Alone, he forced 3 fumbles last year and recovered one of them.

During the NFL combine, Burns ran a 4.53 40 yard dash.

It has been said that Burns is too light and does not weigh enough, but that is part of what has made him the fastest edge rusher in the draft.
