Seahawks Trade for Texans’ Jadeveon Clowney
Did the Seahawks find their Frank Clark replacement? More like an upgrade.
The Texans just sent their talented pass rusher to the Seattle Seahawks for 2 players and a pick. The pick is from next year’s 2020 NFL draft while both players reportedly play defense.
This news isn’t entirely shocking seeing as how Clowney has been disgruntled for some time, looking for a new contract. With no long term commitment and refusing to play under the franchise tag, Clowney requested a trade. The two teams Clowney mentioned were the Eagles and Seahawks.
The Seahawks look to bolster their once-formidable defense after losing Earl Thomas to free agency, Kam Chancellor to retirement and trading Frank Clark to the Chiefs for a 2019 1st round pick. This looks like a big step towards being a top tier defense once again.
Stay tuned for updates on the trade details…
UPDATE: The Seahawks send DE/LB Barkevious Mingo, LB Jacob Martin, and a 2020 third-round pick to the Texans in exchange for DE/LB Jadeveon Clowney.
