Firefighters Rescue Dog Trapped Between Concrete Walls in Ohio
Firefighters used a sledgehammer and saw to free a dog trapped in a garage between two concrete walls in Ohio after it had gone missing for five days.
As firefighters arrived at the scene, they discovered Gertie had fallen down a crevice and was trapped between walls. Its owners posted missing posters around the subdivision after the dog escaped from its property on Tuesday.
A video posted on Facebook showed firefighters using the tools to create an opening in the wall to pull Gertie to safety after about 10 minutes. The firefighters were able to get inside the wall and Adkins pulled the dog out, CBS affiliate WKRC reports. “This run ended in a happy reunion and a job well done by Truck 20,” the post reads.
The dog wagged its tail after being rescued and it brought so much happiness to my heart. You can see the video here as well as photos from the rescue.
