Visitors and residents love the practically spotless beach and ‘under the radar’ feel of Sullivan’s Island. Locals like Poe’s Tavern on Middle Street, known for their yummy burgers.
Next, let’s discuss Fripp Island, which comes in at number 16 on Southern Living’s list of prettiest beach towns. The publication refers to this spot as a ‘sanctuary worth seeing.’ And, if you love bird watching, you’re in luck.
There’s a trail with 175 bird species that’s popular with enthusiasts and maintained by the Audubon Club.
Fripp Island is located off the coast of Beaufort. Fripp is designated as a wildlife sanctuary, so there’s plenty of wildlife, including gators and deer. And, don’t forget the dolphins!
