‘The Wizard of Oz’ Is Coming Back To North Carolina Movie Theaters
When it comes to seeing a Hollywood classic like The Wizard of Oz, there’s no place like a theater. According to SlashFilm, the 1939 MGM musical fantasy is coming back to the big screen in June.
Dorothy, Toto, and the rest of L. Frank Baum’s iconic characters are returning to theaters for two days only, June 5th and 6th. Those dates roughly coincide with the 100th birthday of the late Judy Garland, who was born on June 10, 1922.
The screenings are presented by Fathom Events and will be shown at these Charlotte-area theaters:
- AMC Carolina Pavilion 22 (9541 South Boulevard, Charlotte)
- Cinemark Movie Bistro Charlotte (9630 Monroe Road, Charlotte)
- Regal Cinebarre @ Arboretum Stadium 11 (8008 Providence Road, Charlotte)
- Regal Stonecrest @ Piper Glen 22 (7824 Rea Road, Charlotte)
- AMC Concord Mills 24 (8421 Concord Mills Boulevard, Concord)
- Regal Birkdale Stadium 16 (16950 Birkdale Commons Parkway, Huntersville)
- Tinseltown Salisbury (305 Faith Road, Salisbury)
